Standing Women Artist: Gregory, WaylandeNationality: USA Time Period: circa 1928-1940 Dimensions: 12.25" high x 5.625" wide x 2.1875" deep Type of Work: Sculpture Medium: Ceramic/Porcelain Price: Upon request Plus shipping and insurance This rare vase depicting elegant, stylized female figures in classic Art Deco poses, is finished in a lustrous ivory glaze, and signed by Gregory. Prodigious and indefatigable, Gregory produced a wide range of sculptures and wares in ceramic beginning in his college days, through his years working with Lorado Taft and later when he created large multi-figure pieces for WPA projects, institutions and public parks. This piece probably dates from the late 1920s or 1930s, before he produced a series of dishes, bowls and figures with brightly-colored glazes. To Order: Click on the "Add to Cart" button above.
