The long, sleek lines she gives to her subject's body and the great strength she shows in his hands make this piece very attractive. This piece probably dates from Sollott's early years as a student, and shows her considerable confidence in the use of her charcoal medium. An oil portrait by Sollott Sold for $2,000 at a recent auction in Philadelphia.
