![]() | Vase with Polo Players Prodigious and indefatigable, Waylande Gregory produced a wide range of sculptures and wares in ceramic beginning in his college days, through his years working with Lorado Taft and later when he created large multi-figure pieces for WPA projects, institutions and public parks. One of his favorite motifs was the polo player, which he used to decorate lamp bases, vases, and a range of dishes for the table. This rare vase, with polo players in varying poses, probably dates from the 1940s. It is marked "Waylande Gregory Studios." To Order: Click on the "Add to Cart" button above.
