This 1944 pencil and charcoal drawing was done by Konrad Cramer, an important Woodstock, New York artist who exhibited widely, including the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts in 1930 and 1931, and the Corcoran Gallery in the late 1930s. This piece is reminiscent of America's finest WPA-era prints and etchings, but this is an original piece, not a print! His works are in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum in New York.
