A dramatic print depicting nude man holding the head of vanquished foe, possibly for a book illustration, dated 1939. This piece was purchased from the estate of Charles Yaeger, a midwest artist; its signed initials, "O" or "H O," may stand for Henriette Oberteuffer or Henry O'Connor, both active in that period. The setting for the central figures, including a dugout canoe, suggest a South Seas scene.
