A classic example of Art Deco sculpture, this terra cotta depicts a handsome woman with high cheekbones and pulled-back hair that give her a severe, ascetic appearance. The material is in perfect condition, with a darker, rich patina from years of handling. Although not signed, an old notation suggests that Fenton was the sculptor.
