Welcome to Renaissance Man, a gallery offering paintings, drawings, sculpture and decorative arts from 1900 to 1960. Many pieces show the influence of Art Deco and early 20th century classicism, and all celebrate the beauty and strength of the human figure.
A number of important American artists are represented, including:
- Louise Abel, important Cincinnati sculptor and Rookwood Pottery ceramicist
- Robert Ingersoll Aitken, prominent sculptor of public monuments and teacher at the National Academy of Design in New York
- Edward Berge, popular sculptor of children at play in the early 20th century
- Julius Bloch, painter and printmaker who specialized in depictions of African Americans
- Gaetano Cecere, widely celebrated sculptor, with works at the Metropolitan Museum, the Norton Museum in West Palm Beach, and Brookgreen Gardens
- Rene Paul Chambellan, one of the nation's premier sculptors for Art Deco buildings in the 1920s and 1930s
- Konrad Cramer, a central figure in the Woodstock school of artists
- Donald De Lue, sculptor of the Rocket Thrower at the 1964 World's Fair in New York City
- Jean De Marco, French-born WPA artist, widely exhibited in the 1930s and 1940s
- Gleb Derujinsky , Russian-born sculptor, creator of the "Europa and the Bull" fountain group at the 1939 New York World's Fair
- Waylande Gregory, innovative sculptor and ceramic artist
- Walker Hancock, sculptor of the famous World War II memorial in Philadelphia, featured in the opening scenes of the film, "Witness."
- Leo Friedlander, sculptor of monumental figures for the Arlington Memorial Bridge in Washington, D.C.
- Rockwell Kent, painter and influential illustrator between the wars
- Hilda Kristina Lascari, Swedish-born sculptor who won a gold medal from the National Academy of Design in 1926
- John B. Lear, who depicted male figures in surreal surroundings starting in the early 1930s
- Leo Lentelli, one of the sculptors for Rockefeller Center
- Robert Lohman, prolific Indiana artist best known for sculpting the Indy 500 Pacemaker Club medal
- Evelyn B. Longman, sculptor of "The Spirit of Communication"
- Boris Lovet-Lorski, well known for his attenuated, elegant figures
- Vincent Maragliotti, a major figure in American mural painting
- Henry Ellis Mattson, respected landscapist and figure painter, and a member of the Woodstock school of artists
- R. Tait McKenzie, America's most imporant sculptor of athletes in action
- Tommi Parzinger, largely known for his highly distinctive, beautifully crafted furniture, lighting design and industrial design after World War II
- Onorio Ruotolo, politically-active sculptor in Italy and America
- Eugene Savage, best known for his Hawaiian-themed murals for the S.S. Lurline ocean liner
- Walter Dorwin Teague, the renowned industrial designer
- Adolph Weinman, sculptor of two friezes inside the U.S. Supreme Court Building
- Warren Wheelock, renowned WPA artist and sculptor of heroic figures, profiled in the New York Times as well as Life and Time magazines.
Renaissance Man also offers pieces by important European artists, such as:
- Louis-Ernest Barrias, sculptor of the Oath of Spartacus in Paris
- Gustl Kaiser, designer and sculptor for the short-lived Kieler Kunst Keramic firm in 1920s Germany
- Karl Korschann, German-French sculptor famous for his Art Nouveau figures
- Vicke Lindstrand, a brilliant designer of etched glass during the 1930s at Orrefors in Sweden
- Luca Madrassi, prominent Italian-French sculptor in the early 20th century
- Paul Louis Mergier, the great French enamelist and metalworker in the Art Deco period
- Kai Nielsen, one of Denmark's leading sculptors in the early 20th century
- A. Ouline, French sculptor who specialized in stylized male figures during the 1920s and 1930s
- Rene de Saint-Marceaux, sculptor to the Baron de Rothschild and the Dumas family, and host (with his wife) of a renowned artistic and literary salon in Paris
- Nicolaus Schmidt, sculptor of laborers in early 20th century Germany
